Current-list total
Shows the combined size and torrent count for the complete current table list, including rows below the current scroll position.
A focused quality-of-life extension
qBittorrent Total Size adds the combined size and torrent count of the current list—or your current selection—to the footer of the classic qBittorrent WebUI.
Features
qBittorrent exposes the size of each torrent but does not provide a combined total for the current table or selection. This extension fills that specific gap.
Shows the combined size and torrent count for the complete current table list, including rows below the current scroll position.
Select one or more torrents and the footer automatically switches to the combined size and count of only those selected rows.
The extension locates the Size column dynamically, so rearranging columns does not break the calculation.
Values expressed in B, KB, MB, GB, KiB, MiB, GiB, TiB and larger units are normalized before being added together.
Changes to the table, selected rows, or column order trigger a fresh calculation without requiring a manual page refresh.
No qBittorrent Web API, analytics, advertising, telemetry, remote code, or external data processing.
How it works
The extension works entirely from the existing qBittorrent WebUI document. It does not need a separate service or API integration.
It identifies the Size column and reads valid size values from the current rows.
It converts each value to bytes, adds the values, and formats the result appropriately.
It displays either the current-list total or the selected-row total in qBittorrent’s footer.
The extension reads only what it needs from the WebUI table, performs a local sum, and displays the result. It does not transmit or retain the information.
Compatibility
Tested on qBittorrent v5.1.4 WebUI (64-bit). Alternate WebUIs may use different markup and are not currently supported.
Privacy policy
Your torrent information is not sent to us. The extension has no analytics, advertising, tracking, telemetry, or external data-processing service.
This Privacy Policy applies to the qBittorrent Total Size Chrome extension and this informational website.
To provide its stated function, the extension reads limited content already shown by the classic qBittorrent WebUI:
This information is processed temporarily in the browser solely to calculate an aggregate size and torrent count.
qBittorrent WebUI installations can use arbitrary local IP addresses, hostnames, schemes, and ports. The extension requests optional site access only after the user explicitly enables it for the current qBittorrent WebUI host. That access is used only to run the extension’s packaged code on that host and provide the footer total.
The extension does not retain the torrent-size values or selection state it reads. Those values exist only as needed to perform the current calculation. Chrome may retain the user’s site-access choice as part of the browser’s extension settings.
This website uses no cookies, analytics scripts, advertising networks, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, embedded social widgets, or third-party fonts. Dismissing the privacy notice only hides it for the current page view; it does not set a cookie, use local storage, or save a persistent identifier.
The hosting provider may process ordinary network and server-log information—such as IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs, and user-agent information—for delivery, reliability, security, or abuse prevention. Exact practices depend on the hosting provider selected for the site.
Users control whether the extension has access to a qBittorrent WebUI host through Chrome’s extension and site-access controls and may revoke that access at any time.
The extension is a general-purpose browser utility and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
The extension minimizes exposure by keeping its purpose narrow, packaging all executable code with the extension, avoiding external data transmission, and not integrating with the qBittorrent Web API. No software can be guaranteed completely secure, but the extension is designed to avoid unnecessary data handling.
If the extension’s information practices materially change, this policy will be updated before or when the changed version is released. The effective date above will also be revised.
For privacy questions or support, use the support contact shown on the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing.
